18 Years of Photos...

Pam Strickland is a special kind of mom.  She has been consistent with bringing her daughter in to be photographed for 18 years. This year Liddy graduates from high school;  every year Pam has photographed Liddy in a simple white dress, with the hopes of displaying the collection of photographs with Liddy’s bridal portrait someday.  What insight Pam had 18 years ago.  That display of Liddy’s progression will be treasured in their home, and I’m sure will be passed on to several generations.  Congratulations Liddy; we love you and treasure the friendship we have had with you and your family.

Still going strong...

Most of us are in our prime in our twenties and it gradually goes downhill from there.  It has been 25 years since I photographed Barry.  He was a professional model in the last 80’s.  To celebrate turning 50, I encouraged him to come into the studio.  Quite honestly – it made me a little nauseous (okay….maybe jealous).  I guess being able to look good in your 50’s requires a whole lot more than good genetics. Oh well.

Weekends in the Mountains

I love it when a family does extensive preparation for a photo shoot.  In seems, the more effort that goes into a session, the better the finished product.  The Spates family, of Rabun County, had a GREAT idea of having their family photographed on Lake Seed in a historic boat.  It doesn’t get any more Americana than that.  Since the fall colors peak in the mountains, weeks before south Atlanta, Pro Studio is taking advantage of these beautiful backdrops! This week we are using a 150 foot waterfall as our backdrop.

Building Santa's Workshop

Our Normal Rockwell Santa this year will be a new background.  Pro Studio’s rendition of Santa’s workshop is an interactive set where Children and Santa can work on all kinds of projects together.  Our inspiration for this set was Rebecca Weaver, with Mac Brown photography in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.  Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 15th. Appointments are limited, so call us ASAP! "

Portraits at the Tallulah River

While in the mountains last weekend, Kathy and I went on a waterfall expedition. Even though this spot on the Tallulah River is not the most majestic waterfall in Rabun County…..it is certainly the most pleasing backdrop I found to do family portraits. If your family is going to be up in near the city of Clayton, on October 18, 25 & 26….let me know. I will give you a free session and 50% off any wall portrait, if your family is willing to be Pro Studio Models. Call me if you want to brainstorm. 678.432.1269
